No Clip-Art or AI were used for any artwork, including the lace …. what would be the point?

A Creative Odyssey

Hello! My name is Laree, I’m an amateur artist who is passionate about art, nature, travel and exploration. Let me share a bit about myself.

I have always loved to draw. My style is simple and playful with plenty of clean, white space.

I once painted large abstract zebras, giraffes, pandas and penguins, always gathered in their little social groups, enjoying each other’s company.

Independent travel has also been a meaningful part of my life. I have spent years backpacking on my own, to far-away countries that were off the beaten track …. drawing and sketching along the way. These experiences didn’t shape my art directly, but they did shape me …. teaching me to appreciate small details, gentle humour, and the personalities hidden in simple forms.

My passion for drawing continues, but I now exclusively work digitally using Adobe Illustrator, a vector drawing program. All my greeting cards are printed locally in Calgary on 100% recycled paper, and the mugs and stickers are printed in Windsor, Ontario.

I will continue to develop my skills, drawing and melding together simple 2D shapes for the “Party of Shapes!”
